Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local/ Highway/ US Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within the area while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. 3 years experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. 1 year or more flatbed experience is required. All experiences should be proven. Forklift certification is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.
