At Tim Hortons Distribution, we understand the importance of work/life balance, which is why as a Driver, you will typically work 4 days a week and know your schedule well in advance.


The schedule is primarily a nightshift linehaul position, following a continental schedule, however, all yard drivers, including those regularly scheduled for linehauls, may be required to provide coverage for other runs, including deliveries, and therefore the schedule may be adjusted as required.


This job entails a mix of City & Highway driving between Barrie and Guelph and within Southwestern Ontario.


This position is based out of our Barrie yard located at 545 Tiffin St, Barrie.


What we do:


Our drivers safely deliver dry and temperature-controlled products to Tim Hortons restaurants in Barrie and surrounding area. We operate 7 days per week nearly 24 hours per day using a variety of trailer sizes to meet delivery demands and constraints.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Completing Tim Hortons restaurant deliveries while operating Company equipment in a safe and professional manner at all times
Providing outstanding customer service and support to restaurant employees
Performing Pre/Post- trip inspections to ensure TDL fleet standards are met
Completing all appropriate regulatory and Company documentation
Safely operating on-board truck computers
Offloading products using a powered tailgate and powered driver walkie
Verifying order accuracy and assisting store employees with bringing the products into the restaurant
Handling inquiries and or concerns from owners/customers professionally
Ensuring food safety and food defense standards are followed
Responsible for general cleaning and yard duties as required


Required Skills:


Valid AZ License with at least 1 year of experience operating AZ equipment
Clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR
Experience with operating lift truck / powered walkie, powered tailgate and B-Train, is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Both verbal and written)
Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)
Ability and willingness to work in all types of weather and road conditions


What do we offer:


Starting hourly rate of $32.55 with progressive increases over 3 years to current top rate of $38.00 (not including applicable premium(s))
Overtime is paid after 80 hours biweekly
