Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting freight and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, familiarity with heavy equipment, and the ability to operate various vehicles and machinery including forklifts. Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight, equipment, and materials to designated locations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained; perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities. Assist with warehouse operations including loading, unloading, and organizing freight or equipment as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is preferred. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols related to transportation and heavy equipment operation. Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road or at the facility. Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances or in complex environments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes. Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy machinery, and perform routine vehicle inspections. Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations within our organization while prioritizing safety and professionalism at all times.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 70 per week
