Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, as well as experience with heavy equipment operation and freight handling. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in freight transportation is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques is beneficial. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety protocols. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
