Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined

AZ Driver

to join our lumber yard team. The ideal candidate is a safe and experienced driver who takes pride in maintaining equipment, assisting with yard operations, and ensuring timely and professional delivery of building materials. This position combines driving duties with hands-on mechanical and yard responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Delivery:

Safely operate AZ trucks to deliver lumber, building materials, and supplies to customer sites and company locations. Secure loads properly and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards. Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and pickups. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and inspection reports.

Yard & Equipment Duties:

Assist in loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other material-handling equipment. Inspect, clean, and perform minor maintenance or repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other yard equipment. Support yard operations including organizing inventory, staging materials, and ensuring a clean and safe work area. Help identify and report mechanical issues early to minimize downtime.

Mechanical & Maintenance:

Conduct routine checks and light repairs such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire checks, and minor mechanical fixes. Coordinate with service providers or mechanics for larger repairs when needed. Keep maintenance logs up to date and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.

Qualifications:

Valid

AZ Driver's License

with a clean driving abstract. Minimum 3

years of AZ driving experience

(flatbed or lumber delivery preferred). Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on maintenance skills (automotive or heavy equipment experience an asset). Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment (training or certification an asset). Physically fit -- able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round. Strong attention to detail, safety-oriented, and dependable. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
