Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The Driver will also be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations. Assist in the operation of forklifts or heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on the vehicle when necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, enabling the candidate to perform minor repairs as needed. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
