We are looking to hire licensed, skilled, and responsible full-time Local AZ Drivers to join our growing team. Local AZ Drivers are responsible for operating commercial vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers, while adhering to all relevant traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

Shifts Available:



Night Shift - 6PM to 8PM start - Driving London to Toronto

Duties & Responsibilities

Completing assigned

runs between the London Terminal and the GTA,

transporting freight between designated locations while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries in line with company procedures. Safely loading and unloading freight, and securing cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit. Conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure mechanical fitness and compliance with safety standards. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information using electronic logging devices (ELDs) or paper documentation. Communicating effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise. Adhering to all transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, vehicle weight limits, and so on. Providing exceptional, professional customer service during interactions with clients, thus ensuring a positive image of Speedy Transport. Demonstrating the ability to ensure the safety of people and cargo by following established protocols and responding appropriately to emergencies or accidents. Reporting any vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly and accurately, and performing minor maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications

Valid AZ Driver's License with a clean driving record At least 2 years experience as a AZ Driver, preferably with local deliveries Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills Ability to operate ELDs and other relevant technology Physical ability to load and unload freight, often requiring lifting and moving some heavy objects Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Ability to work under pressure and in a time-sensitive environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
