Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading/unloading tasks.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts. Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
