Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver coordinator to oversee our fleet operations and ensure efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various driving disciplines, including commercial driving and delivery experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team of drivers effectively.

Responsibilities

Managing inbound and outbound loads at customer facility. Shunting of trailers in yard is required. Transferring of trailers between yards is required. Manage day-to-day operations of the driving team, including scheduling and route planning Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Monitor driver performance and provide feedback for improvement Coordinate maintenance and repairs for commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance Oversee the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling of goods Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance logs, and driver performance metrics Foster effective communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and management to enhance operational efficiency Ensuring the maintainence and cleanliness of the yard is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Must have AZ license with 2 years of experience. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance is preferred Strong communication skills to effectively manage teams and interact with clients Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Understanding of route driving principles and logistics management.

Candidate should be authorized to work full time for any employer in Canada.
