AZ Driver (Preferred: Cable Extraction Experience)

Monday - Friday, Field-Based (Unionized Role)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable AZ Driver to support our underground utility and cable extraction activities in Peel Region. This role will directly support our Bell Canada Copper Decommissioning project, transporting materials, assisting with cable removal work, and supporting field crews across the region.

Candidates with previous cable extraction experience will be strongly preferred.

This position is a unionized role, and successful candidates will be required to join LIUNA and work under the UCA collective agreement.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate an AZ class vehicle to support daily field work and cable extraction activities Transport recovered cable, materials, and equipment to/from worksites Assist crews with underground cable extraction, removal, and site support tasks Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure safe operation of the vehicle at all times Follow direction from site leadership and collaborate with field teams Maintain compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements

What You Bring to the Table

Valid AZ Driver's License is required Experience with underground cable extraction or cable removal is strongly preferred Prior experience in utility construction or field-based roles is an asset Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and conditions Strong teamwork and communication skills Strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance
