Position Summary:



As an AZ Delivery Driver Lead Hand with Flanagan Foodservice you will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team of transportation employees and provide support for your designated location to ensure we meet business objectives. You will work with management on issues and concerns, support the team as a liaison between your location and management, and respond to escalated customer issues as needed.



You will deliver food products and order items to our customers to meet their business requirements. In this active position as an AZ Delivery Driver, your day will consist of driving to our customer locations to deliver products/orders, and interact with customers to provide customer service excellence and assistance with resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the team at your respective location; Provide training, guidance and support to the drivers to ensure they are adhering to company policies and safety procedures Foster a positive and collaborative team environment Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding a solution; Responding to employee inquiries regarding job processes and concerns; Correspond with dispatch and supervisors with a morning update Coordinate to ensure trucks are delivered for any maintenance or repairs Provide emergency route coverage support for last minute call-ins Deliver and pick up customers products and orders or vendor pick-ups using a G, DZ or AZ class vehicle as scheduled Manually sort, move and deliver customer products as ordered, including the possible use of a handcart, e-walkie, or pump cart on ramps, stairs or other surfaces (moving approximately 600 - 900 pieces/day) Moving products up to 50lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs on occasion Complete and verify all required paperwork for customer orders, including scanning as proof of deliver, invoices and returns Safely and professionally operate company vehicles and equipment including conducting pre and post trip inspections, completion of required logs and reports. Demonstrate a willingness to ensure customer satisfaction Follow the Company's policies and procedures Ensure compliance to Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Flanagan Foodservice Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices

Required Qualifications:



Demonstrate knowledge of current or ongoing customer requirements, or new client set up in order to meet customer expectations; Team player skills with demonstrated abilities to interact well with all levels of associates and a proven ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive manner; Strong organization skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Leadership skills and ability to coach, guide, and motivate others in a positive manner. Valid AZ license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR Minimum of 1 year AZ class driving experience Good communication and customer service skills Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs consistently; up to 80lbs on occasion Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices Flexible to work assigned schedules and complete route schedules as required Ability to work in a verity of weather, climates and road conditions
