Dairy Lane Systems started in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer. Since that time, we have expanded our scope to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing and ventilation services. In 2021 we acquired 2 milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada. In addition to the milking equipment sales, service and installation business, we are also involved in the design, build and operation of renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), the construction of agricultural structures (DLS Structures) and the manufacturing of dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

The successful candidate will work with the warehouse and yard team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of local deliveries to our customers, while ensuring excellent customer service and timely deliveries and pick ups. Most of this work will be performed outdoors in all types of weather.

This is a full-time position Monday - Friday basic work hours are 7 - 4 however, often your day could end later depending on the needs of the business, you will be working out of our head office location. Compensation commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

Compliance with all traffic laws, MTO and company regulations and requirements

Complete daily truck inspections, logs and required paperwork

Deliver and pick up all orders on time without concerns

Assist loading and unloading trailer, ensuring proper handling and storage

Tarping, chaining and strapping of trailer

Communication with DLS team and customers daily

Deliveries in our Hino or pick up trucks would also be required at times

Follow assigned delivery schedule for timely deliveries (changes daily)

Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately

Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury

Qualifications

AZ license with clean commercial abstract and CVOR - proof will be requied

Experience using an automatic transmission

Minimum 2 years of experience as an AZ driver

Knowledge of truck weights, road limitations and some mechanical aptitude

Experience using a GPS system

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Forklift license an asset

Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada
