The opportunity

At the core of Affinity Markets overall growth strategy is to maintain and expand our new sales activity in the Mortgage Broker and lender segments of the market. The Affinity Markets business is looking for a leader to bring our growing Mortgage Broker and lender sales trajectory to life as we revitalize and modernize our customer, partner, and mortgage broker experience.

The importance of maintaining and building our strong field sales team, providing more effective digital tools for our partners, and improving overall insurance conversion rates are among the key priorities. You will set the strategy for the overall business and lead the full sales and support teams for this market. This opportunity is critical to the success of our Mortgage Creditor business. We have daring growth targets in a changing driven and regulatory marketplace. This is a sophisticated role influencing the engagement of resources and capabilities across IS, Product, Legal, Compliance, customer experience and talent, to name a few.

The AVP Sales Mortgage Creditor will lead the Mortgage Creditor Leadership Team accountable for driving new sales growth, building, and retaining partnerships in the marketplace and driving new initiatives as they are required. You will be a member of Affinity Markets Leadership team contributing on overall strategy and management. You will be joining a high-performing, experienced team of professionals who want to win again in the Mortgage Creditor marketplace.

Responsibilities

Business leadership of Sales programs and initiatives that drive overall Mortgage Broker sales.

Maintaining and building a high-performance sales and service team with responsibility for large national accounts and independent brokers.

Work closely with Lender sales channel and with other Manulife distribution, including Manulife Bank.

Leader of broker and partner experience including onboarding, communication and improving overall productivity.

Influence and leadership of the Mortgage Creditor distribution support teams \xe2\x80\x93 shared services including Training, Salesforce, Events & Advisor Communications

Actively participate in industry events, conferences, industry associations and opportunities to work with regulators.

Be an authority in redefining our delivery capabilities particularly as it related to digital innovation in the path of the mortgage

Delivery of mortgage broker sales plan, increase in customer & advisor NPS.

What we are looking for

Minimum 10 years in sales leadership roles with proven ability to deliver business results

Minimum 5 years of experience in Mortgage Broker marketplace working directly with brokers or national broker organizations

Experienced in building and maintaining a national field sales force and support organization.

Experienced in reporting and sharing sales results within a broader organization.

Strong organization and administrative experience

A deep understanding of Insurance products, markets, and distribution

Well-developed business, financial and project management skills

Developed understanding of various Mortgage Broker business models.

Ability to think strategically and build tactical sales plans to achieve short- and long-term business and sales goals.

Strong collaboration and communication and influencing skills

Adept at partnering across matrixed organization

Proven success improving employee engagement

Skilled player-coach able to cultivate a high-performance culture and develop individuals to stretch their competencies
