Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and skilled

Veterinarian

to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate is committed to animal health and welfare, with a focus on delivering exceptional care to birds and other companion animals. This role requires strong diagnostic and clinical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for educating pet owners about preventive health and wellness.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough examinations to assess animal health and diagnose medical conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing surgeries. Provide emergency care and preventive medicine to promote long-term animal health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient and effective clinic operations. Educate bird owners on proper nutrition, care, and preventive health measures. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and training. Perform and interpret laboratory work as needed, including analysis of diagnostic samples.

Requirements



Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Valid veterinary license in the province of practice (British Columbia preferred). Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with demonstrated experience in animal care. Knowledge of laboratory procedures; ability to perform and interpret basic lab tests preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both clients and team members. Compassionate, empathetic approach to animal care and client support. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

Pay: $130,000.00-$187,790.91 per year
