The City of Abbotsford\xe2\x80\x99s Operations Department is seeking two self-motivated hard working individuals to join their dynamic team as auxiliary Labourers. This work is seasonal with approximately 40 hours per week during the busy season from May through October.

In this exciting role you will bring considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in general construction and maintenance work.

You will play an important role in maintaining underground utilities and water facilities that may include vegetation works, installations or repairs of equipment and/or meter reading.

Your strong communications skills and ability to carry out instruction will be essential as you lay out, assist in, and provide direction to others engaged in the areas mentioned above.

To be considered you must have:
Grade 10

Considerable experience in general construction and maintenance work and in the operation of related tools, equipment and machinery.

Valid BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Licence

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is $26.11 to $30.73 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and health benefits.
