Airdrie Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM
is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Automotive Diagnostic Recon Technician
to join our Reconditioning team in at our dealership in Airdrie. In this role, you'll focus on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing pre-owned trucks and vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards for resale. If you're passionate about diagnostics, quality repairs, and preparing vehicles for their next owner, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs using factory and aftermarket tools
Identify drivability issues, electrical faults, and mechanical wear during the reconditioning process
Collaborate with the Service Manager and General Sales Manager to prioritize vehicle readiness and quality
Document all diagnostic findings and repairs in accordance with dealership standards
Ensure vehicles meet safety, performance, and cosmetic benchmarks before resale
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
Stay current with industry certifications and participate in ongoing technical training
All other duties as assigned by shop leadership.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and acceptable drivers abstract
Red Seal Certification required for this role
Ability to pass a pre-employment background
Minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive diagnostics and repair
Proficiency with diagnostic platforms
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
