Automotive Sales Representative

. In this role a valid G driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record is required. You must be provincially licensed, or able to be licensed, as recognized by OMVIC. Full-time, including some evening and weekend shifts.

Mike Fair Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd. is a family-owned automotive dealership with over 35 years serving the Smiths Falls, Perth, and surrounding areas. We are growing and expanding our operations with a brand-new, state of the art dealership in Perth, Ontario. Brand new equipment, air-conditioned shop and extensive, hands-on training provided. This is an exciting time for career minded self-starters to join our team!

Training (estimated to begin in August) will take place in Smiths Falls and in Perth prior to dealership opening. Reliable transportation during this period is required.

Expected annual compensation for this position is $60,000 - $110,000 (including salary, bonus and commission pay).

Overview:

As an Automotive Sales Representative, you are personable in your interactions with others and can build a rapport with customers.

You sell and/or lease new and used vehicles to customers, negotiate and agree on payment terms, and provide customers with in-depth information on vehicles and associated products. You will collaborate with colleagues from other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and foster a positive and collegial team work environment while meeting sales goals.

Main duties include:



Build rapport with customers, answer questions, and competently resolve any concerns. Provide shoppers with information about the products sold and their corresponding warranties, costs and other terms and conditions in order to help them narrow down their search in the purchase or lease of a vehicle. Break down technical information and put it in terms that the customer can understand. Clearly explain automotive terms, contract terms, and the functionality of vehicle accessories. Follow up with customers (or prospective customers) to build trust and confidence. Grow sales and profit within customer base. Understand and comply with all relevant regulations and laws related to vehicle sales.

Requirements:



Highly motivated and ambitious. Proven experience in sales, with the ability to negotiate effectively and close deals. A good understanding of the automotive industry, including vehicle models, financing options and payment plans. Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, by acting like an owner, taking accountability for issues, and knowing when to collaborate and use your team to find the right solutions. Strong relationship building skills, in order to build trust with sales staff and customers. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to listen and provide solutions to customer issues. Possess strong conflict resolution skills. A passion to do a great job and strive to exceed expectations. Valid G driver's license with clean and acceptable driving record. Provincially licensed, or able to be licensed, by OMVIC. Ability to work evening and weekend shifts.
