We are seeking a talented and motivated Automotive Prototype Technician with excellent hands-on skills for our Ayr, Ontario location.

HOURS: A Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Friday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm



REPORTS TO: Prototype Supervisor



RESPONSIBILITIES:



Assist in the fabrication of prototype parts. Interpret customer blueprints for requested prototype samples. Set up and operate prototype/production machinery Operate/Apply Infrared CMM, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Bender, Label Printer, Production Endformer and Bending Equipment, Dedicated Fixtures/ASM Equipment as required. Complete prototype submission documents including warrant documentation. Package and label prototypes according to customer requirements. Arrange for the shipment of prototypes. Perform delivery services for components or assemblies as required. Modify gauges as required. Perform special projects as required. Liaise with QA department to ensure First Off Approval and Shipping CNC Programming & Set Up Must possess general machining skills Proven knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

QUALIFICATIONS:



Must understand the mechanics of plant equipment for processing, testing and inspecting product components/assemblies Understanding of ISO/IATF16949 and prototype/manufacturing methods Completion of Grade 12 (OSSD); or its equivalent Working knowledge of MS Office Ability to analyze blueprint specifications & Tube CAD CNC programming and set-up Must possess general machining skills Detail-oriented Ability to work in a team environment Sound planning and organizational skills Strong problem-solving skills Mechanical aptitude with an ability to articulate mechanical concerns Practical knowledge of manual measuring equipment (gauges, hand tools)

Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
