Job Description

Position:

Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is always eager to learn, completes an honest day's work, and conducts themselves in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair:

Repair automobiles and other motor vehicles.

Maintenance:

Perform routine vehicle maintenance.

Diagnostics:

Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.

Inspections:

Perform quality inspection

Install and Repair:

Handle liftgate hydraulics and air systems installations and repairs.

Vehicle Repair:

Diagnose malfunctions and perform installations and repairs on vehicles and trailers, including: Adjusting and testing steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, and braking systems Working on drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions Adjusting, testing, and rebuilding engines Engine and transmission replacement

Testing:

Test trailers and vehicles to ensure repairs have resolved the issues.

Record Keeping:

Accurately document time spent, parts used, and repairs or maintenance performed on internal forms.

Work Area Maintenance:

Maintain a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area.

Leadership:

Provide guidance and direction to mechanic assistants when needed.

Additional Duties:

Assist with other duties as required, work as a team

Safety Inspections:

Perform provincial safety inspections.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in vehicle repair in Canada Strong diagnostic skills Proficiency in various repair and maintenance tasks Ability to maintain accurate records Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment Strong leadership and teamwork skills Certification to perform provincial safety inspections Knowledge of shop equipment Ability to follow instructions Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:

Pay is variable based on knowledge and experience.
