is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive growth across all departments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing a comprehensive marketing program, from digital strategy to in-store experience.
As our Marketing Manager, you will be the central force behind our brand's presence in the market, responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing all marketing initiatives. You will work closely with dealership leadership and department heads to ensure our marketing efforts are aligned with sales goals and deliver a cohesive and compelling customer experience.
Direct Report: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
Define overall marketing goals in collaboration with the Dealer Principal/General Manager.
Establish and manage the annual marketing calendar, incorporating seasonal and OEM campaigns.
Develop and oversee the marketing budget, allocating resources across digital and traditional channels.
Lead competitive analysis and define the dealership's market positioning.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels.
Organize and lead monthly meetings with department heads to align marketing campaigns with sales and service objectives.
Work with the management team to determine the scope of Metro Ford's sponsorship of community events. Support Metro Ford's sponsorship by working with the Management Team to execute on tasks related to community sponsorship efforts.
Digital Marketing Management:
Work with Metro Ford's Technology Manager to co-manage all aspects of the dealership website, including offers, inventory, and landing pages.
Oversee SEO and SEM strategies, including Google Ads.
Develop and execute organic and paid social media campaigns.
Manage email marketing, from sales reminders to newsletters.
Oversee online reputation, including reviews and Google My Business.
Analyze and report on all digital marketing performance.
Campaign Execution & Content Creation:
Manage or outsource the creation of ad copy, design assets, video production, and photography.
Lead the launch of advertising campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance of all assets.
Coordinate in-store marketing elements, including signage and team scripting, to align with active promotions.
Notify all departments of current offers and campaigns.
Promote Metro Ford's events
Data, Tracking & Technology:
Own the marketing technology stack, ensuring seamless integration between the CRM, DMS, website, and advertising platforms.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as leads, cost-per-lead, and ROAS.
Utilize data to adjust budgets, targeting, and creative for optimal performance.
Manage the dealership's first-party data strategy, focusing on growing subscriber lists and ensuring privacy law compliance.
Work with CRM specialists to mine internal data for re-engagement and reactivation campaigns.
Vendor and Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with Department Managers to create pursue strategic marketing campaigns that accomplish their departmental goals.
Manage relationships with all marketing vendors, including digital agencies and media representatives.
Regularly evaluate vendor performance and work with General Manager to negotiate contracts.
Ensure all marketing efforts are in compliance with OEM co-op and branding guidelines.
Collaborate with department heads to train staff on current promotions and gather customer feedback.
Innovation & Growth:
Stay current on emerging marketing trends and new platforms.
Attend industry events and pilot experimental campaigns to keep our dealership ahead of the curve.
Map the full customer journey to identify opportunities for personalization and automation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a marketing management role, preferably within the automotive industry.
Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
Strong understanding of marketing analytics, KPI tracking, and reporting.
Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
Proficiency with CRM and DMS systems, as well as marketing automation and analytics tools.
Photography, Editing, and Videography experience considered an asset.
PBS Systems knowledge a mild asset.
