ABOUT YOU:
The Automotive Detailer is a crucial member of the team, handling the beginning and end of the repair process. The detailer pre-washes and maps vehicles at the start of repairs, runs vehicles to and from local partners, and completes interior and exterior details upon repair completion. The ideal candidate is reliable and confident working in a fast-paced environment. They are organized and have high attention to detail. They like to collaborate, and are always looking for ways to be more efficient and improve the shop process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vehicle Check-In
• Pre-wash all incoming vehicles
• Take check-in photos of all vehicles prior to repair planning
• Complete pre-scans on vehicles prior to repair planning
Detailing & Check-Out
• Complete post-scans on all vehicles after repairs are completed
• Clean and detail vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and detailing vehicles
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed detailing jobs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain a checklist of quality standards and ensure all vehicles meet or exceed those standards.
Shop Support
• Drive vehicles to and from local partners, as needed
• Rearrange vehicles around the shop and lot, as needed
• Buff and polish and Paint Correction, when necessary
• Maintain clean shop environment, help manage garbage and general shop cleanliness
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Reliable and punctual
• High attention to detail with excellent organization
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Collaborative team member
• Automotive collision repair industry experience, preferred
• Valid Ontario G driver's license with clean driving record, required
WORK ENVIRONMNET:
• Fast-paced environment, often wet/damp
• Standing, bending for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50lbs /23kg
