Job Description

The Estimator (Repair Planner Damage Analyst) will be responsible for handling minor to moderate vehicle damage appraisals, using photos, documentation, and various estimating resources. They will be working with various approved insurance companies, private estimates for customers, total losses, and administrative tasks with the senior estimating staff.

Major areas of responsibility:

Completing minor damage appraisals for submission, review, and approval by insurance partners

Importing estimates to Nexsyis, ordering parts, and processing work orders in a timely fashion

Work with front office staff to provide accurate preliminary estimates, detailed written estimates (when required), and repair information or explanations to customers, to understand the scope of work requested

Assist senior estimating staff with administrative tasks such as minor supplement requests, invoicing, estimating, or any other administrative items requiring assistance

Submit supplement requests to insurance for approval, following required guidelines and using providing all necessary documentation and communications

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance appraisers and adjusters

Handles customer concerns immediately and accordingly to shop procedures

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience working as an Automotive Damage Analyst.

Comprehensive understanding of the entire repair process including body, prep and paint processes.

Working knowledge of management system and estimating software: Mitchell and Audatex

Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer Certification (310B) not a major requirement, but nice to have.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients and co-workers.
