Overview


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our automotive service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, providing a valuable stepping stone for individuals interested in developing their mechanical skills. The role is ideal for those with a passion for automotive repair and a desire to learn from experienced technicians. We can offer you comprehensive training and exposure to various aspects of automotive service, including diagnostics, repairs, and customer service.

Responsibilities



Conduct vehicle inspections to help identify any issues or potential problems and documenting inspection issues before they become major problems Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks , tire repairs Diagnostic Tools - you will use basic tools and equipment to identify basic issues & perform basic system resets - reminders, tpms, etc. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards Communicate with Service advisor on a on going basis to provide status updates on repairs and discuss any issue or concerns related to vehicle repairs Support the team in completing repairs efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met

Skills



Basic mechanical knowledge with an eagerness to learn advanced automotive repair techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic schematics interpretation A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when needed 1-2 years of direct mechanical experience in the automotive industry Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well within a team environment

Efficiency / Productivity - you will be measured on the amount of work completed and the time it takes for you to complete a task given Comeback Rate - the work you do that comes back with errors & requires redo or due to a level of dissatisfaction by the customer is measured and reflected in your overall performance Customer Satisfaction - this measures how satisfied the customers are with the quality of work & the overall experience Training - your overall willingness to attain further training and certification to be able to work on newer more complex vehicles.

Compensation



Total hourly compensation for an apprentice will range based on a candidate's knowledge, skill and experience as well as other factors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
