Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive repair industry. As an Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in automotive service and repair.

Duties

Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. Learn to read and interpret automotive schematics to diagnose issues accurately. Support senior technicians in diagnosing complex mechanical problems and developing effective solutions. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Engage with customers in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service throughout the repair process. Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.

Skills

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Basic knowledge of automotive repair principles, with a willingness to learn more about dealership practices. Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely in an automotive setting. Understanding of mechanical concepts, including the ability to weld when necessary for repairs. Capability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team or independently.

Pay: $46,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
