Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Controller in the Automotive Industry to oversee our financial operations for our automotive group and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Automotive Accounting, along with expertise in financial management and reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills who can effectively manage cash flow, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities



Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including book keeping, payroll, GST remittances and general ledger accounting. Ensure compliance with CRA regulations while maintaining accurate financial records. Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key metrics and insights for decision-making. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Develop and implement budgeting processes to align with organizational goals. Perform technical accounting tasks related to regulatory reporting and compliance. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero for efficient financial management. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of all required documentation. Provide guidance on financial concepts to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred. Proven experience in Automotive accounting. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, cash management, budgeting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and best practices in corporate accounting. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
