Typical Day in Role:
Be an advocate for quality in the project lifecycle.
Write moderate to complex code/ scripts to test systems.
Design, develop and maintain a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework to enable continuous testing in an agile environment.
Collaborate closely with other team members to develop test approach that effectively covers the functional performance characteristics of features in the applications.
Collaborate with Delivery Lead to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed.
Report defects and work closely with the team so that solutions can be determined, prioritized, and scheduled.
Prioritize testing of projects effectively across various businesses, to drive efficient work.
Conduct root cause analysis of post-production issues and plan to prevent them in future.
Have in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the organization's products, applications, systems, environments, processes and tools.
Introduce and influence overall process improvements and act as an agent for change to the organization.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
4+ years of demonstrated hands-on and in-depth Test Automation experience- testing on both web and mobile applications
4+ years of test automation experience and in-depth knowledge of programming languages: Java/ JavaScript
2+ years' recent experience with API testing - preferably using Postman

Best VS. Average Candidate:
Focus is on web automation experience however want them to have both mobile and web; someone who can work with minimal hand holding; strong automation skills; strong communication skills; any experience with AI will be helpful
Fast learner, run with automation testing of the project, well versed in technologies, any framework in web and mobile app testing, postman and rest assured, databases experience; able to communicate blockers, status updates so need collaboration and effective communication skills
Java/JavaScript: should be able to fully write the code - even if they know 1/2 can teach them the other - no manual testing so important for them to be able to write full scripts in either language
Ensure they are authentic; if what they are listing in the resumes they actually have it; on codilities they have cheated and answers did not reflect knowledge or expertise - in interviews they had short and bloated answers as per skillsets - please ensure experience is authentic; in technical interviews - second screen with answers being provided - ensure candidates are not cheating, using voiceover - some suppliers edited the resume to shorten gaps etc - please ensure this is not done on any CVs - honest authentic
Candidate Review & Selection:
Codility Test prior to interviews - 40 minutes; 2 questions
What to expect: the Codility tests are based on data structures and algorithms - it is language agnostic so they can choose the language they want to code in.
1st Interview - 1-hour technical panel video interview with HM team, follow-up questions from test and other live coding assignments
Candidates should have MS Teams set up ahead of time, and ready to be on video and share their screen for the live assignments.
Final Interview - 45 minutes with Director - more behavioral
