We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and electrical systems, with a focus on automation technologies. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes through effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementation of automation solutions.
Installs, maintains, and repairs automated equipment and control systems in industrial settings. Their work involves ensuring that machinery like robots and PLCs run efficiently and safely by troubleshooting issues, performing maintenance, and making necessary repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems.
Key responsibilities:
Installation and troubleshooting: Install, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment such as robotic devices, sensors, and PLCs.
Maintenance:
Perform both preventative and unscheduled maintenance, including electrical and mechanical repairs, calibrations, and routine tasks like tightening wires.
System monitoring:
Monitor system performance and operational status to prevent downtime and optimize efficiency.
Repair and analysis:
Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, control, and power systems, including conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and complete work orders.
Collaboration:
Work with other technicians and automation engineers to plan, install, and maintain systems.
Required skills and knowledge
Technical skills:
Proficiency with tools, reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and basic electrical circuit theory.
Computer systems:
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA, and other automation control systems.
Problem-solving:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix complex problems.
Mechanical and electrical:
A solid foundation in both mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
Inventory:
Manages and tracks goods in the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient movement.

Receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate digital and physical records, conducting regular audits, and preparing reports on stock levels and discrepancies. This role requires strong attention to detail, computer skills, and communication abilities.

Reporting:
Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, stock movements, variances, and other required documentation.
Order processing:
Prepare and process purchase orders to replenish stock, ensuring the timely delivery of materials.
Organization:
Ensure the storage area is clean, organized, and safe.
Computer proficiency:
Experience with inventory management software and other office applications is necessary.
