Position Summary CIMCO is looking for regular full time Automation Controls Engineer / Technologist to join our automation department in Montreal Office. Fluency in both French and English is required for this role. Role Responsibilities
  • Design, configuration, integration and implementation of automation solutions for variety of systems in Recreation and Industrial facilities.
  • Create, implement, test and document DDC/PLC code and HMI interfaces.
  • Integrate with other automation systems and devices using various communications protocols.
  • Specify and order instrumentation.
  • Develop control panel schematics using Electrical AutoCAD.
  • Manage automation projects as assigned.
  • Program system based on company standards and specifications.
  • Contribute to the continuous design improvement process
  • Liaison with other Engineers to ensure automation design matches the mechanical and electrical design.
  • Monitor progress of projects and maintain costs within budget.
  • Install, test, and start-up control systems on-site.
  • Provide customer training support.
  • Occasional travel is required.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Community College controls/automation Diploma
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Exposure to Allen-Bradley or other PLC and Delta or other DDC software and hardware an asset.
  • Ability to work with plant engineers, external vendors, operators and management to coordinate projects and assignments is essential.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems from the field element up through operator interfaces and databases.
  • Exposure to control system networking technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English and French / Oral and written) is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
