Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.The Automation Project Lead will report to the Mine Operations SuperintendentWhat you will do:- Lead the Autonomous Mining Operations (AMO) Operations Liaison and Technical Team through the development, installation and commissioning of instrumentation on borers and mineveyors- Challenge the team to meet schedules, innovate and work with other departments to prioritize work and trials required for the success of the program- Provide clear direction and priorities to team members- Support the achievement of our AMO utilization targets- Drive and actualize value case targets yearly and throughout the 5-year mine plan- Ensure the Automation project work is executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and achieves business objectives- Assess, manage, communicate and report on project status and risks- Support creation and completion of project documents such as WBS, cost estimates, risk registers, schedules and implementation plans- Serve as the primary point of contact for the AMO project and related activities- Be responsible for communication on project status to relevant parties- Interface with stakeholders and project teams for successful project development, follow through and completion- Present recommendations to stakeholders and be involved with decision-making on technical aspects of projects- Coordinate internal and external teams and primary stakeholders to move projects forward- Be responsible for working with stakeholders to develop the new operations and maintenance strategy to ensure sustainability of technology- Assist with planning future year capital budgets, project scope and cost estimations, and project evaluation and selections- Be a safety leader and foster a positive safety cultureWhat you will bring:- University degree or technical diploma, or a combination of relevant education and experience- Experience and/or education in automation and controls is an asset- Excellent technical writing and professional speaking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people- Engages leadership and other stakeholders in conversations to provide updates and highlight changes or risks- Excellent understanding or hands-on experience with underground potash mining and equipment used for mining- Comfortability in projects with highly technical aspects applied in a practical mining environment- Exceptional organization, writing, and planning, and time management skills- Ability to handle a large and varied project workload, including projects involving multiple disciplines- Ability to lead a high-profile program and partner/collaborate with the technical engineering team- Ability to make timely decisions that align with the project objectives and Nutrien\'s values- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive)- Proficiency with Oracle Business Intelligence software is an asset- Proficiency with Planisware software is an assetReady to make an impact with us?
