Position Summary

Executes new programs, projects and process improvements within the Production Department. Improvements may come from capital projects or programs may be derived from day-to-day decisions dealing with production issues, situations or equipment. The Finished Goods Automation Engineer will aid in the implementation of existing programs, be a participating partner in projects and continually contribute to the resolution of production bottlenecks and problems. Key Responsibilities

• OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son\xe2\x80\x99s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities.
• Maintaining & continually improving Automation Control Systems through programming and Operator interface improvements.
• Involvement in daily production to support supervisory, operating and maintenance staff.
• Capital project implementation, on time and within budget constraints.
• Mentor continual improvements in the production department by developing an environment where production problems are directly addressed, and accountabilities delegated.
• Financial Responsibility: Capital Projects up to $1,000,000CDN
• Internal, regular, work-related contact with operating personnel and Maintenance/Trades
• External, regular, work-related contact with:
• Systems Vendors
• Outside Contractors

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor Degree, Electrical/Automation Engineering (Required)
