Cloud and Network Services: As Nokia\'s growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models. Composed of software designers, software developers in test and dev ops developers, we are always looking for new challenges and growth. Our product, Nokia NetGuard Identity Access Manager, is a network security product that analyzes and enriches security data to help security and network operations teams assess business risks, improve decision-making, and control costs.

Position: Automation Developer Co-op/Intern
Duration: 4 Months
Date: January 8th to April 26th, 2024
Location: Flexible (Virtual or Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada)

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

  • As part of the agile development team, be responsible for system integration, test automation and quality assurance of Digital Trust products
  • Be part of a global development team developing, coding, testing and deploying applications on cloud-native architecture
  • Complete test execution, raise bugs and follow up with the team to correct the fault in a timely manner to ensure on-time product delivery with quality
  • Create continuous delivery and deployment pipeline for application in cloud and container platform
  • Contribute to developing platforms using open-source tools and technologies and implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and/or Continuous Delivery (CD) across multiple environments.
Your skills and experience

Education Recommendations:

Currently a candidate for a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field with an accredited school in Canada.

You have :
  • A drive towards automating repetitive tasks
  • Working knowledge of Python and Bash
  • Knowledge of containerization(Docker/container/podman) and clustering (Kubernetes/HELM)
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Knowledge of Openshift, Rancher and familiarity with microservice architecture.
  • Working with Version Control Systems such as Git, GitHub/Gitlab/Bitbucket/Gerrit.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI)
  • Understanding agile development methodology, working well in a team environment, teaching and learning from their teammates.
  • Bonus points for knowledge of ElasticSearch/Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, OAuth (preferably Keycloak), MariaDB (SQL), RabbitMQ or another similar messaging system
