Automation Designer Wanted

Maurice Mechanical Services Ltd.

is a leading designer and manufacturer of automated assembly equipment for clients in the automotive industry and beyond. MMSL has been building automated equipment in Penetanguishene for over 35 years. We are currently searching for an Automation Designer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

The

Automation Designer

position involves machine design, parts detailing, ordering of components, working closely with our customers as well as giving direction to the assembly team and electrical department.

This position requires a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or relevant automation design experience. Wages will be based on experience.

Ideal candidates will be honest, cooperative, adaptive, autonomous, pay attention to detail, possess a strong problem-solving attitude, be self-motivated, dynamic, take responsibility for the projects they are assigned, are analytical, and ready to do what it takes to get the job done.

Skills required:

Read technical drawings, understand and trouble shoot mechanical problems.

Adept at using Solidworks

Solid understanding of machinery safety principles

Ability to effectively communicate with others

Strong Mechanical aptitude.

Be organized

Experience with automated machinery would be an asset

Can work autonomously and as a group
