Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and possess mechanical knowledge necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Auto Body Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality repairs while maintaining safety standards.

Duties

Inspect vehicles for structural damage and determine necessary repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools to repair or replace damaged body parts. Perform welding, frame straightening, and body alignment tasks as needed. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer. Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Document all repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair setting is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools specific to auto body work. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various issues. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay: $32.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
