The Auto & Property Insurance Specialist I is primarily responsible for processing auto insurance policies and a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This position processes a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings. This position processes basic insurance transaction and auto policies. Processes personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker. Identifies client needs and provides information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk. Able to utilize the Insurance portal to endorse and complete a policy Able to write a new home owner policy Service a 300K Personal lines book (using Manager discretion). Quote a minimum of 40 new home policies a year, as per management discretion

Essential Qualifications

Completed Level 1 Brokers Insurance license Working towards completing all MPI courses General understanding of MPI/SMI transactions MPI Lead must complete all requirements to hold the KAP position, if required by branch Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions Proficient computer skills Driver's license and access to a vehicle
