We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, along with excellent customer service skills. This role requires the ability to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients in an understandable manner.
Utilize computer systems for data entry, scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and collecting payments.
Assist with clerical duties including answering phones, filing, typing reports, and proofreading documentation as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow in the shop environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both mechanical work and administrative tasks.
Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and multi-line phone systems is advantageous.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is a plus but not required.
