Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician & Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and/or fabrication (E.g. Hand fabrication of body panels when they are unavailable for purchase) to be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role is crucial for restoring vehicles, as well as ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

Perform repairs on damaged vehicles, including, bodywork, modifications and fabrication Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards. Communicate with team on progress and timelines Fabrication background is considered an asset Mig & Tig welding is considered an asset

Experience

Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in a dealership or repair shop setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment for automotive repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process. A commitment to ongoing professional development in automotive technologies and techniques. Welding in patch panels, as well as hand making panels Knowledge of custom fabrication tools (E.g. tig welding, English wheel, shrinker/stretcher)

Wage

Wage is strictly based on experience and skill. There will be a review period of 90 days, at this time you will be evaluated and wages will be negotiated.
