skilled and certified Auto Body Technician
to join our professional team.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have a
minimum of 5 years of experience
, hold a
Red Seal certification
, and demonstrate strong proficiency in collision repair, refinishing, and restoration. You will be responsible for returning damaged vehicles to factory standards through detailed structural and cosmetic work.
I-CAR certification
is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
Perform structural and cosmetic repairs, including
panel replacement, dent repair, and frame straightening
using frame machines and measuring equipment.
Sand, mask, and prep vehicles
for painting, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepared to achieve high-quality finishes.
Carry out
priming, blending, and refinishing work
, using spray guns and refinishing equipment.
Replace or repair damaged components
such as fenders, bumpers, doors, quarter panels, and rocker panels.
Utilize welding and bonding techniques for structural repairs as required.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively throughout the repair process.
Perform minor mechanical repairs associated with collision damage to ensure vehicle safety.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Collaborate with estimators, painters, and other technicians to ensure accurate timelines and high-quality results.
Document repairs and follow manufacturer and industry-standard procedures.
Required Qualifications
Red Seal Certification
in Auto Body and Collision Technician (mandatory).
Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
in a body shop or dealership environment.
Expertise in structural repair, surface preparation, and refinishing techniques.
Proficient with collision repair equipment, frame machines, spray booths, and tools.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract.
I-CAR certification
is considered a strong asset.
Welding experience and knowledge of modern materials (aluminum, composites) is preferred.
High attention to detail and ability to deliver flawless finishes and structural integrity.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
