Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Autism Therapist / Educator with minimum 3 years of in-the field experience to work one-on-one with a young non-speaking autistic child between 3-6pm weekdays and possibly some weekend hours. You must be playful by nature and passionate about teaching but equally about learning.

Join a unique multi-treatment approach to autism and receive training and professional development from autism specialist and founder of the IMTI program Jonathan Alderson.

You will work in the family's home and be remotely supervised by Jonathan Alderson. The ideal candidate, will be eager and have the skills and creativity to plan engaging activities and materials that target the program goals. The child's family is very supportive and actively involved in the therapy program.

Training and experience with ABA is useful but not mandatory. Applicants with play-therapy skills, SLP training, and other autism education strategies will be equally considered. A positive mindset and great natural rapport building skills.

Team members will be available to attend bi-weekly meetings and monthly training.

Requirements

Minimum College or Undergraduate degree with some related studies in Psychology, Education, ABA, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current Police background Check Two references who can be called to validate candidates resume and skills Minimum 3 years of in-the-field experience working directly 1:1 with autistic children History of First Aid type training openness to professional development including video-review and feedback Organized and punctual. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within a home-based setting. Bi-lingual with either English-French or English-Spanish is ideal. Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
