Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Understand the specific needs of students on the autism spectrum. \xc2\xb7 Strong classroom management and teaching techniques specific to students on the autism spectrum. \xc2\xb7 Understanding of the education industry as a whole, with a passion for innovation and creativity \xc2\xb7 Approach each day and class with a student growth mindset \xc2\xb7 Collaborate and interact with the Step Up Academy team in a professional and academically stimulating manner \xc2\xb7 Differentiate instruction and assessment practices to meet the needs of individual learners. \xc2\xb7 Successful applicants will be teaching in an environment with a 1:1 teacher to student ratio. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 A Bachelor degree from a Canadian University \xc2\xb7 Certificate or Diploma in Autism Education/Support \xc2\xb7 OR OCT certified with Autism support experience \xc2\xb7 Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum (2+ years is preferred) \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and time management skills \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated passion for the growth, development and overall learning for all students.
