Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Professional to provide direct 1:1 support to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role focuses on behaviour support, skill development, and promoting independence for children, adolescents, and young adults. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles and experience implementing individualized support plans.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 behavioural and life-skills support to individuals with ASD in home, community, or educational settings. Implement Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies and behaviour intervention plans under the supervision of a behaviour analyst. Teach and reinforce skills in communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, self-help, and daily living. Monitor and record data related to behaviour, skill acquisition, and progress. Support individuals in community participation, recreation, and personal goal achievement. Collaborate with families, educators, and other support professionals to ensure consistent, person-centred care. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Qualifications

Autism and Behavioural Science Program Developmental Service Worker (DSW) Child and Youth Worker (CYW) Related diploma/degree in behavioural or developmental services Knowledge and practical application of ABA therapy required. Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with ASD. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, follow behaviour plans, and adapt to individual needs. Valid CPR/First Aid (asset), current vulnerable sector screening

A reliable personal vehicle is required for this position

(travel between home, school, and community locations).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.23-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
