Oversight of all municipal audits including all Arrow Road audits, offsite audits. Additional locations may be required, subject to your Manager's approval.
Compilation, administration and communication of all audit data.
Analyzing audit data to ensure accuracy, trending and triggers
Supervise audit team, promotion and fostering safe work practices and company policies.
Ensure new and existing audit team members are trained on audit requirements as per contracts outlined by the Departmental Manager.
Performance Management - conduct annual performance review for audit team.
Tracking employees' hours, breaks, vacation time and sick days and submit to Human Resources.
Review, edit and approve hours using the Agile time management system
Train new hires on policies, procedures and regulations governing numerous municipal contacts
Communicate with Supervisors and Managers any audit disputes arising with the municipal contract(s), when required.
Engaging with contract customer to ensure smooth operations of audit processes on a day-to-day basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
Minimum of 5 years of audit experience in a similar or related industry
University degree or college diploma.
Technical knowledge of best practices in IT General Controls and Application Controls
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to identify risks and recommend cost-effective IT and operational controls
Ability to meet deadlines, deliver on time with quality
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Great Plains, Cognos, GRC systems and processes is considered an asset
Expertise in using data analytics software (e.g. ACL) would be an asset
Authorized to work and travel as required in Canada and US
