Overview


The Central Speech and Hearing Clinic is a not-for-profit organization that supports children and adults who are deaf or hard of hearing. The clinic provides family-based listening and spoken language intervention to children and audiology services to children and adults who use hearing aids, bone-anchored hearing aids and cochlear implants. We are looking for a dedicated administrative assistant with experience working in a clinical setting to provide support in audiology department as well as the clinic's day-to-day administration.

Duties



Partner with clinical team to support services for children & adults with hearing loss Manage front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Assist in appointments under the supervision of an audiologist/speech-language pathologist Prepare patients for appointments by completing necessary paperwork &/or checking hearing technology under the supervision of an audiologist/speech-language pathologist Collect, document & ship out all equipment orders & deliveries Process billing, invoices & payments Receive & document patient phone calls related to questions & concerns Assist with clerical duties, including patient scheduling, filing and daily communication Prepare materials for use in audiology/intervention appointments

Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience Efficient time management abilities Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and efficiency Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications



High school diploma or a recognized equivalent 2 or more years related experience, preferably in a clinical office setting Previous work or volunteer experience in the field of audiology preferred Previous work or volunteer experience with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred As a condition of employment, the successful applicant is required to provide a satisfactory criminal records check, child abuse registry check and adult abuse registry check
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.43 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week

Work Location: In person
