Job Summary
As an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Practitioner, you'll provide comprehensive, person-centred hearing healthcare that empowers people to communicate with confidence. You'll work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to clinical quality, integrity, and accessibility for all.
Responsibilities
Clinical Care, Operations & Client Impact
Conduct full hearing assessments, including identification, evaluation, diagnosis, and counselling
Deliver clear, compassionate education about the impacts of hearing loss to clients and families
Recommend, fit, validate, verify, and service hearing aids and other assistive devices and technology
Provide aural (re)habilitation to enhance communication skills
Perform cerumen management (training available)
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with college standards
Support daily/weekly calibration and maintenance of audiology equipment
Contribute to infection control and safety procedures
Research, Education & Community Engagement
Participate in research initiatives
Deliver public presentations and educational talks
Supervise and mentor students from Audiology and HIP programs
Assist with training and mentoring Audiometric Technicians
Qualifications
Master's degree or diploma from an accredited Audiology or Hearing Instrument Practitioner program
Current (or in progress) registration with the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC
Strong computer literacy and exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency with hearing assessment tools, hearing aids, and assistive technologies
Knowledge of cochlear implants is an asset
ASL fluency or a willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and respect
Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision
Comfort navigating shifting priorities in a dynamic clinical setting
A collaborative, client-centred mindset
