About Us:

Justice Video Network (JVN) is one of the largest videoconferencing and converged communications networks in an integrated justice environment, and this role provides support across all JVN technologies, including current and emerging platforms in three justice ministries: Ministry of Attorney General(MAG), Ministry of Solicitor General(SolGen) and (Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services(MCCSS).



Please note:

This position will require on-call and overtime technology support services, after business hours and on the weekends as required.

As an Audio Visual and IT Systems Support Officer, you will:




Provide technical support for Justice Video Network (JVN) technologies:

Deliver assistance, troubleshooting, and guidance to clients across multiple channels for all JVN-related audio-visual, telecommunications, and video conferencing systems.


Install and maintain AV/IT systems:

Set up, configure, and manage audio-visual (AV), information technology (IT), and video conferencing equipment and software, following Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) standards.


Support internal operations and documentation:

Contribute to system manuals, training materials, and process improvements; manage user access and validate system logs across JVN platforms and tools.


Assist external users with onboarding and training:

Provide technical support and orientation to remote witnesses, legal counsel, and members of the public using JVN-supported applications on various devices.


Coordinate with vendors and monitor service levels:

Liaise with third-party providers to manage equipment upgrades, repairs, and service performance, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.


Participate in projects and provide after-hours support:

Support system testing, documentation, and implementation of new technologies, while being available for on-call and overtime support outside regular business hours.

Technical Skills




You can demonstrate:

a strong understanding of video conferencing technologies (ISDN, TCP/IP, communication protocols) knowledge of Cisco systems such as CMC, TMS, Codian MCU, ISDN Gateway, and Cisco VCS the ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco Endpoints knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android) and related peripherals like microphones, speakers, and webcams understanding of network structures (LAN, WAN, routers, hubs) awareness of current trends in audio-visual and video conferencing technology

You can demonstrate the ability to:

diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues troubleshoot system failures and equipment problems. ensure systems operate reliably and efficiently provide quality control between business users and vendors assist with training on video and audio equipment
