True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for an energetic and motivated A/V & Broadcast Technician to join our team. The A/V & Broadcast Technician is responsible to perform a wide variety of duties that will support the audio, video, and broadcast needs for the venues and live events.What to be excited for in this role:

  • A diverse hands-on role preparing, setting up, testing, and tearing down audio/video & broadcast equipment.
  • Troubleshoot audio/video & broadcast systems as needed.
  • Support the audio/video & broadcast needs for internal/external meetings, live events, and Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose home games as assigned.
  • Be able to work on a team and to learn from experienced industry professionals.
What we need from you:
  • Completed education in a relevant program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broadcast training certification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated technical ability in setting up and basic repair of audio and video related equipment and systems. Experience in installation and operation of audio video components preferred.
  • Ability to read CAD generated prints, building blueprints and riser diagrams.
  • Solid grasp of basic electronics/electrical theory - formal instruction is preferred.
  • Your commitment as a collaborative participant of the Audio/Video and Broadcast team.
  • Must have the ability to:
  • work evenings, weekends and holidays on an as needed basis
  • effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • be focused, committed, and adhere to True North's safety regulations
  • work independently and be a contributing asset to the team
  • present ideas/concepts confidently and succinctly
