We are currently recruiting for two Attendance Management Analyst positions, one supporting

Operational Services (OS)

and the other supporting

Emergency Management & Community Safety (EMCS).




As an Attendance Management Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting administration of the Attendance Support Program to drive change in our attendance culture. You will identify, monitor and track the attendance of the business units employees to reduce the high cost of absenteeism. Primary duties include:

Track and report on employee attendance, determine percentage of scheduled work missed, compile individual absence data, create Attendance Support Program letters, and provide absenteeism statistics. Collect and cleanse data sources to maintain Power Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards. Access several sources of absence data and analyze the data, trends, and changes. Assist and advise leaders with attendance management program activities and processes. Ensure process consistency across the business unit and the department. Coach leaders where necessary to support improvement of attendance culture outcomes. Analyze data and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports for managers. Liaise with key contacts, interested parties, and partners to support successful sustainment and expansion of the Attendance Support Program.


Qualifications

A completed 1 year certificate in Human Resource Management or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience including work in a unionized environment. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and advanced proficiency with Power BI and Excel. A strong understanding of The City of Calgary's organizational structure and knowledge of City employee rights, benefits, and programs associated with health and wellness. Knowledge of the collective agreements associated with The City of Calgary: Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 583, CUPE 37, CUPE 38, and CUPE 709 will be considered an asset. Proficiency in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and Blue Prism will also be considered an asset. Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated ability to build relationships and proven customer focus. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills are integral to success in this role.

Pre-employment Requirements

An enhanced security clearance will be conducted. Not required for Operational Services.

Workstyle:

This position may be eligible to work from home as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. Such arrangements are based on the operational requirements of the position and employee suitability and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $39.00 - 52.14 per hour

(2026 Rates)
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
