## About the Role
ATB 101 is a 4 month work experience and engagement program with a summer intake! Our ATB 101 students play an integral role in the success of our business. As an ATB 101 student you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to ATB through challenging, meaningful and diverse opportunities and make a positive impact for our clients and each other. Oh and we promise you'll have a lot of fun doing it!

As ATB's next Student Project Coordinator, Construction you will be responsible for construction project coordination with the primary accountability of helping the projects team manage the initiation, planning, execution, control and close out of each project assigned. Project typologies will include capital projects, facility maintenance projects, space decommissioning, and moves/accommodations in both ATB's corporate and retail real estate networks.
Reporting to the Director, Real Estate and Projects, the Student Project Coordinator, Construction will be responsible for construction project management support. PP&S is ATB's facility team, responsible for creating environments that enable listening, learning, advising and creating by bringing to life the places and spaces that make it possible. Real Estate & Planning is responsible for ATB's overall real estate strategy and the leasing, design and construction of our physical spaces throughout the portfolio.
## Accountabilities

  • Support the Project Managers from end to end with their project files.
  • Monitor and report status during the project lifecycle.
  • Assist the Project Managers in development of project plans that align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risk based on work to date and business strategy.
  • Create and coordinate internal systems related to current projects.
  • Communicate and work closely with other project and administrative staff and with external contacts; effectively communicate project status regularly to all interested stakeholders to ensure continuity of expectation and deliverables.
  • Prioritize issues and work with the Project Manager's to identify the root causes of problems and suggest potential solutions.
  • Assist the Director, Real Estate and Projects with strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure QA / QC is maintained throughout the construction project lifecycle including but not limited to Warranty milestones.
  • Perform other related project tasks as required or assigned.
  • Opportunity to travel within Alberta.
Please note this opportunity is open to Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management & Project Management students only.
## Requirements for ATB 101
  • Be passionate and motivated about pursuing a career in construction and real estate.
  • Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate from a degree program with a specialization in construction management or engineering.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Be able to effectively prioritize and manage your time well.
  • Have a strong sense of personal accountability. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and takes personal accountability to ensure that deliverables are of strong quality.
  • Come with an analytical mind. Be confident to ask questions, seek information, dissect problems, and suggest innovative solutions.
  • Eager to roll up your sleeves and take on new challenges.
  • Be humble and confident. We encourage you to put your hand up and ask for help, when needed. After all, we are all united in our goal of customer obsession.
  • A curious mind, a person that is always asking why but is able to balance that with extremely strong execution.
