We cover roles in finance, accounting, and payroll.I am currently recruiting for a public accounting firm located on the South Shore, with a team of about twenty professionals. They are looking for a Director of Assurance Services. This firm offers the flexibility of 100% remote work.Your responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and oversee assurance engagements (audit, review, compilation) for privately owned SMEs across various industries.
- Review and sign off on assurance files, ensuring compliance with professional standards and agreed-upon deadlines.
- Manage corporate and personal tax mandates, including:
- Reviewing and supervising the preparation of T2 (corporate), T1 (personal), T3 (trusts), and T5013 (partnerships) tax returns.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a small team of professionals, fostering their development and ensuring an effective distribution of tasks.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, addressing their needs and advising them on financial, tax, and accounting matters.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with current assurance and audit standards (ASPE).
- Actively contribute to the strategic planning of the assurance department and the continuous improvement of processes.
- Support business development by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities with prospects.
