Relevant de l'Associe principal en actuariat, Modelisation et analyse en tarification actuarielle, la personne retenue travaillera aux fonctions de modelisation de la tarification pour les activites canadiennes de RGA. La personne choisie evoluera au sein d'une equipe interfonctionnelle. Elle apportera son soutien a de multiples domaines, comme la recherche, l'etablissement d'hypotheses et le developpement de produits.



Membre d'une equipe creative, dynamique et axee sur le client, la personne retenue participera a un eventail de projets qui miseront sur son esprit creatif et d'analyse.



PRINCIPALES TACHES ET RESPONSABILITES ESSENTIELLES AU POSTE



Soutenir la modelisation des activites de soumission pour les nouvelles affaires et les blocs d'en vigueur. Examiner les resultats financiers, en faire la reconciliation et les communiquer aux equipes de tarification et de developpement des affaires. Soutenir les cotations speciales et divers projets de tarification interne, comme ceux portant sur la valeur intrinseque des nouvelles affaires. Contribuer au travail d'autres secteurs, notamment la recherche et le developpement, l'etablissement des hypotheses, etc. Comprendre l'information sur les clients, les conditions et la structure des transactions afin de pouvoir modeliser correctement les risques associes. S'assurer que tous les risques importants ont ete evalues et modelises. Participer a la revue du travail realise par des pairs. Soutenir les autres membres de l'equipe sur le plan technique. Appliquer les lignes directrices et les meilleures pratiques de modelisation. S'assurer que des mesures d'evaluation du risque et des controles adequats sont en place et que les regles de tarification sont respectees. Maintenir une comprehension a jour des normes financieres (IFRS, TSAV, LDTI, etc.).

Etudes et antecedents professionnels



Baccalaureat en actuariat ou en mathematiques Plus de trois ans d'experience en assurance ou en reassurance Designation minimale ASA/ACIA et poursuite des examens en vue de l'obtention du titre de fellow de la Society of Actuaries et/ou de l'Institut canadien des actuaires Connaissance poussee de la suite MS Office : Excel, Word, PowerPoint Autres logiciels : maitrise d'AXIS et de Datalink, un atout Le bilinguisme (francais et anglais) a l'oral et a l'ecrit est necessaire pour ce poste, car nombre de nos clients sont anglophones et de nombreux documents provenant des clients et utilises dans le cadre du travail sont en anglais

Connaissance des normes comptables et fiscales (IFRS 17) et du cadre d'evaluation du capital (TSAV) Une experience en strategies d'investissement, en repartition d'actifs et en modelisation financiere constitue un atout Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication et les relations interpersonnelles Solides competences techniques, analytiques et en resolution de problemes Sens de l'organisation, souci du detail, avec une capacite a apprendre et a appliquer rapidement de nouveaux concepts Excellente maitrise des logiciels informatiques et capacite a resoudre des problemes Orientation vers les resultats et capacite a respecter les echeances Bon esprit d'equipe et grand dynamisme Capacite a travailler simultanement sur differents projets aux delais serres

Reporting to the Senior Actuarial Associate, Pricing Modelling& Analytics, the Actuarial Associate will be working on the pricing modelling functions for the Canadian operations of RGA. The candidate will be part of a cross functional team and provide support to multiple areas like research, assumption setting and product development.



As part of a creative, dynamic, and client focused team, the employee will be exposed to a variety of projects that will capitalize on their creative and analytic mindset.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



Support the modelling of new business and inforce quoting activities. Review, reconcile and communicate results to pricing function and business development. Support special quotes and various internal pricing projects such as the NBEV. Contribute to the work of other areas including Research and Development, Assumption& Control, etc. Understand client information, terms and transaction structure to properly model risks implied. Ensure all important risks have been assessed and modelled. Participate in the review of work done by peers. Provide technical support to other members of the teams. Ensure guidelines and best practices are applied. Ensure adequate risk measures and controls are in place to adhere to pricing standards. Maintain up to date understanding of financial standards (IFRS 17, LICAT, LDTI, etc.)

Education and Experience



Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or in mathematics 3+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance Minimum ASA/ACIA designation and currently pursuing exams towards fellowship from the Society of Actuaries and/or the Canadian Institute of Actuaries Advanced computer skills: MS Office - Excel, including VBA, Word, PowerPoint; SQL Other specific software: AXIS and Datalink proficiency is an asset Bilingual (spoken and written) French and English communication

Skills and Abilities



Knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax reporting (IFRS 17), and/or the capital valuation framework (LICAT) is an asset Experience with investment strategies, asset allocation, and financial modeling is an asset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Solid technical, analytical and problem-solving skills Sense of organization, detail orientated, with ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts Great proficiency with computer software and ability to resolve problems Results orientation and ability to focus on meeting deadlines Good team spirit with high level of energy Ability to simultaneously work on different projects with tight deadlines

Compensation Range:



$88,650.00 - $110,800.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
