Our award-winning team is growing, and Atelier Pacific Architecture is hiring an Associate-Architect or Associate-Intern Architect to be based out of our Richmond office and take charge of the day-to-day operations of the firm and work in collaboration with the other associates under Group 161. Group 161 represents a diverse group of companies including Atelier Pacific Architecture, Barnett Dembek Architects and DF Architecture.

Atelier Pacific Architecture offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and continued professional development. We are a young, design-oriented firm specializing in residential, mixed-use, commercial, and civic buildings. We are currently working on large scale projects including wood-frame multi family to residential high-rise projects.

About the Position:

We are seeking an Associate-Architect or Associate-Intern Architect that must be registered with the AIBC.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Project Management;
  • Business Development;
  • Handling Contracts;
  • QC/QA;
  • Client & City Liaison;
  • Managing teams & providing staff direction.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a similar role in an architectural firm;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wood-frame construction;
  • Thorough understanding of the BCBC and VBBL;
  • Fluency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, and in Sketchup;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead the a team;
  • Experience with preparation of Development Permits, Building Permits and Construction drawings;
  • Experience working directly with clients and consultant coordination;
  • Extensive experience with Contract Administration.
